Mental Breakdowns are awesome.

I know people look at is as a negative, but you know what.....after having two major breakdowns myself and witnessing a few first hand i can honestly say after you get through it, its like.....awesome.

Let me explain, ever had diarrhea? No of course you haven't, but you know someone else that has. Well ask them about what its like and you'll know what i mean.

Having a mental breakdown is like diarrhea, it hurts when it comes out, but after your done, boy does it feel awesome to be alive.

Sometimes we hold our own mental shit in so long it hurts, we become irritable, we don't want to let it out in public and it keeps piling up.

What i am telling you is that we do not express enough, society deams certain things unacceptable, like putting your finger in your employers face and saying "FUCK YOU CUNT I AM NOT STAYING AFTER 5pm" so we hold it in, we get dumped in a horrible way, but you wanna play it cool so you just go about your life, you dont cry or yell fuck you, so it piles up and keeps on piling up until one day......you shit yourself in public.

Its and analogy i dont really mean you shit yourself in public, of course im saying you have an involuntary breakdown.

Sometimes you gotta just let it all out, get an enema, an enema for the heart.

If the mental shit is piling up, go somewhere private and just let it all out scream swear cry flail your arms maybe even break some shit (try not to hurt yourself) go NUTS, EXPRESS ALL THOSE EMOTIONS FEEL THEM ALL AT ONCE......and then after your are out of energy....you'll feel......really light.....all that nonsense that was annoying doesn't matter anymore.

Alternatively, don't hold those emotions in, i'm not saying do anything illegal, sometimes your just need to tell people off, or, just cry, learning how to cry is one of the best things you can do. For guys, again, its hard to do, society deams it inappropriate for a man to cry (or to cry in public) but man its a life changer, crying every now and again is awesome.

Rape is Hilarious

I may be completely fucking up here with a title like that, and i imagine there will be a lot of bat shit insane 13-28 year old never leave home pseudo feminist's searching for things to be offended about and then re posting links to this blog saying "Look what this asshole wrote, i didn't read the whole thing but its probably offensive." giving this entry WAY more traffic then it really deserves and or just a bunch or people with a dark sense of humor looking for 15 minutes to kill.

BUT STAY WITH ME HERE GUYS, its not what you think. This is not a pro rape article and i am sorry if the title triggered any negative feelings, i imagine that most people that would be triggered that saw a title like that would probably just not bother reading it and look the other way. So again apologies for offense, if you genuinely are triggered and you have read this far then i imagine that you probably are pretty intelligent and want to read what i have to say.

Okay, it sucks that i feel the need to write a bullshit qualifier and that i can't just jump into writing a bunch of random ideas without fear of repercussions, but then thats life innit.
NO RAPE IS NOT HILARIOUS, what i want to address here is the subject of males getting raped in film....as a joke.

Ive noticed the double standard joke of, woman gets raped in movie=drama, man gets raped in movie=comedy gold.

Now of course this all depends on taste and what you think is or is not funny, but i think the general consensus is that a man getting raped in cinema is usually played off as a joke, why is that? Rape is horrible, degrading, humiliation, a crime where the victim is blamed, an act of violence where sex is the weapon and in general a pretty fucked up thing? But if its a guy its comedy.

So when does it become comedy, well....when its a joke.

Q:When is rape funny?
A:Never.....however a joke ABOUT rape CAN be funny.

How can this be? I think the main point i am getting at that, ANYTHING is funny if its a joke, joking about a real person that REALLY got raped is not funny, a joke about rape can be.

Much like murder, in the cartoon South Park characters are murdered in horrible violent ways all the time and we laugh, in the film Inglourious Basterds, there is a horific scene of Hitler being murdered and everyone rejoices in laughter. In the film Home Alone, two burglars are brutally tortured throughout the film and that is a comedy for kids.

I guess what i am saying is that, regardless of the subject matter, anything that is absurd can be considered funny.

Ill write it again, IF IT IS ABSURD THEN IT IS COMEDY.

Humor is a subjective thing and of course jokes in poor taste won't get a laugh from everyone, but i imagine that EVERYONE at one point or another has laughed at some joke, that if it happened in real life, would scar the people it was about and probably those that viewed it. Even the people that find jokes about violence (rape is a crime of violence) in poor taste could find themselves laughing at one, because, its something absurd.

What i wonder about is the double standard in humor....for example, a film i watched called Big Stan.

The Premise of this film is a person trying desperately not to get raped.....its a comedy.....thats pretty fucked up, but i guess because its a male its comedy.

Imagine if that movie was about a female desperately trying not to get anally raped, suddenly it becomes quite dark. My point being is why is it when its about a male it can be considered a comedy?

My theory is that maybe its because GENERALLY as a society we still consider the idea of a male being raped completely absurd, and as a said before, absurd=comedy.

They darkness doesn't lie in the film, a movie is a movie, its fiction, the darkness lies in our own ideas about males getting raped.

Maybe its because we view men as strong and we are not sexually mature and we look at sex as a dominance thing. We PENITRATE our enemies like we PENETRATE our women...and the idea that a man can be dominated by sex is "absurd".

The idea that a man being raped is absurd, is, in itself absurd.

No one being raped is funny or correct, regardless of age gender or if they are a rapist themselves, rape is never appropriate or just. I think we all know in our hearts that this is true.

There is no conclusion to this article, just something i wanted to mention, our attitudes towards rape and comedy and what constitutes something being funny (subjectively speaking of course)

And im not a men's rites activist or anything like that, i just got through watching Pulp Fiction again and was wondering if "THAT" rape scene was meant to be comedy, because i never found the rape funny, although i found the whole absurdity of what was happening in general pretty funny.

Disclaimer number 2: I am not anti expression, i think a joke is a joke and should never be taken seriously, REGARDLESS of the subject matter, however just be aware that not everyone is up for hearing your joke, not need to FORCE your rite to freedom of expression by intruding on their rite to freedom of leave me the fuck alone fuck head.

The answers to success are everywhere...if you choose to see them.

“Artists use lies to tell the truth. Yes, I created a lie. But because you believed it, you found something true about yourself.”
~ Alan Moore, V for Vendetta

More and more i am seeing that there is no road map to success (whatever that means to you) there are only clues, hints, tips and guide....but the guides are missing pages.

I think most humans are looking for "The Way" to do "it".

I see upsets about vague positivity quotations and no "Success for Dummies" guides.

I can understand the frustration, in school we are taught the "correct way" to do things, the "Correct way" to spell or behave, then when it comes to be our own person, or rather when we choose to take control of our life, there is no "Correct way" no guide book no perfect method, only vauge positive quotes.

You must understand that it is in these quotes, in these works of fiction, in that cool movie you watched or sweet poem you read, THESE have the answers and you will probably see more and more that they are just PRINCIPLES, they are FLEXIBLE they are like tools in a tool box that you can use depending on the circumstance.

For example two quotes

"Look before your leap"
"He who hesitates is lost"

Two contradicting positive quotes, what quote is correct, that like saying witch is the better tool to use, a hammer or a saw, well....it depends on the job.

Put these things into context they are tools to be used, they are not road maps to your destiny, YOU draw the road map to your destiny, then you can show OTHERS the map, but that map will not show them a road to there future.....but....it will have tools hints tips and clues on how to do it.

So read the holy bible, read the richest man in Babylon, the communist manifesto, the god delusion, read the latest adventures of Superman, watch that terrible Maze runner film. The clues and guides are in EVERYTHING if you are looking for them.

Some people look at a cloud and see a kitty, others....will only ever see a cloud.

Good Luck.

Ps

Humans have a tendency to look for meaning in everything, i wonder if that is because the answers are deep down inside and we are just looking for excuses to believe in the intangible guides and truths that will better us.

Depression is normal Embrace it.

There seems to be a common theme with withdrawn live at home twenty something white people and that theme is. "I am depressed and that is not normal" I gotta tell you guys, not only is it normal, but its something that you SHOULD FEEL and embrace, because if you choose to, you will become stronger after you get through it.

Depression is like the changing of the seasons, it will happen in some form or another, but like the seasons it will eventually end.

I don't know about clinically depressed people, like say, someone with an illness, but i dare say for MOST people it is a normal emotion, like being happy or angry, we are just taught it is not something normal, that we are all messed up, chemically imbalanced and that there is nothing we can do about it and we must stay feeling this way forever.

I really believe that all emotions serve a function, sometimes we get depressed and we SHOULD feel depressed, something shitty happened, someone broke up with you, a relative died, you spilled some milk.
We have every rite to feel depressed, sometimes we feel it for reasons we do not understand, just know that when you come out of it, you will be stronger and in hindsight you will know the reason why, because humans have a tendency to look for meaning in everything, connecting the dots after and realizing that it needed to happen to make us the awesome stronger person we then become.

Just like the seasons this DEPRESSION, this WINTER, will end, its just surviving until then. Be grateful, because without winter it would be so hot the earth with scorch, same with always feeling happy and the same with always feeling sad, we need anabolism and catabolism in life, other wise we will never grow and the sleeper will never awaken.

We cannot BE depressed, meaning, we cannot BE DEPRESSION, we can only FEEL depressed. How we behave effects what we do, but we are not the sum of our emotions alone, we have higher thought. All emotions are chemicals in the body, the way we use our body effects those chemicals.

Emotions effect how we behave (how we use our body, posture, tone of voice etc) and how we use our body effects how we feel, it works both ways.

I believe we truly can get out of depression by choice, HOWEVER, emotions are meant to be FELT and EXPERIENCED, like a small wound it mite heal on its own, but sometimes you gotta put a splint onto it otherwise it will rot and effect your whole life until you gotta cut a part of yourself off. Just getting out of depression and never dealing with its core cause can cause a break down later down the track.

I say FEEL those emotions, stay depressed a while, as long as you don't go for the final solution you know? Write a journal cry it out, DON'T KEEP IT IN, go somewhere private and have a break down and when you are ready to stop feeling depressed (when depression is more annoying then sad) here is how.

Step one would be as above, dealing with it, acknowledging that you are depressed and being cool with it, feeling it and knowing that it will end and you will be a stronger person. NEXT

I believe depression is caused by the following.
What we do with our bodies.
What we put into our bodies.
And what we CHOOSE to focus on.

So step two would be to work on diet, no need to give up EVERYTHING, just eat real food, and cut down on the sugar/beer/weed.
Real food is anythings grown, vegetables and fruit, or anything cut of an animal, MEAT.
A chicken nugget is not food, if it comes out of a can it is not food, if it has a list of its ingredients it is not real food, an apple or beef doesn't have ingredients.

Drink water, not beer not coffee, water is magic, water is life. At least 2 liters a day.

Next what we focus on, Write 5 positive questions and then everyday for 10 days write down three answers as to why this is true (even if it isn't) this will direct your brain into believing it. (different questions every day)

A negative question is (Why do i suck?)
A positive question is (Why am i such a magnetic ladies man?) or if you can't do that write (How can i be such a magnetic ladies man?)
Its easy and fun, write down all the answers and read the questions and answer OUT LOUD every morning.

ALSO write down everything you want in life, everything you are already grateful about in life and everything your are grateful that has happened in your life and read the all out loud to yourself every day

Also its fun to write things and read them out loud like, I am super bad ass and nothing can fuck with me.

NEXT What we do with our bodies, all the energy in our bodies is in our heads when we are depressed, so we need to force it all into our body, jogging and working out to the max causes you to be to exhausted to think about negative shit, there are plenty of easy ass workout that you cant do, hell even walking for an hour a day its good. A lot o people get depressed cause they sit in the fetal position all the time, driving, sitting on the computer, sitting on the toilet, like i said before, how we use our bodies effects our emotions, so stand tall like your super man and smile like an idiot, its stupid but it work and you will feel different.

Some tips are to speak faster and or louder and or with more passion, also BREATH DEEPLY, ever feeling low on energy or down, take a deep breath. Exhale all the air in the lungs then exhale some more then fill them till they feel like they will burst hold and breath out. INSTANT emotional change.

Basically its, eat real food, drink water, work out and breath.

I know its hard when you are depressed to do ANYTHING i KNOW THIS from experience, but ill tell you what, working for 33 days straight helped me a lot, changed my focus from the negative and the affirmations helped get me laid.

That's just my advice, being depressed is normal and part of a cycle in life, sometimes its severe and sometimes its a whimper but you always can become stronger if you want to.

The hardest part about ANY of these exercises is getting over your own cynicism.

The insanity Begins

I always carry on and have rants and ideas and tell people and post in I.M.'s and in social networking sites.

I've written and re written the same shit a lot...it would just be nice to have written it once and have something i can copy paste to people when i want to give advice.

The concept for the book of Lance came a few years ago, maybe even when i was in High School back, i've always been a bit eccentric and people seem to luagh a lot when i speak pasionatley about things, but soetimes id really see people get inspired or say "Yeah good point" even if they thought what i was saying was hilarious at the time.

I said "I should write a book"
"That'd be cool id read it" said some cat that may not have even said that said,
"I'd call it the book of Lance"
"Haha that'd be cool, id read it.....did this conversation even take place?"
"DOES IT EVEN FUCKING MATTER?"

I notice that i only really speak about a handful of subjects in-depth.
Pop Culture
The Broscience of Anthropology
Sex and courting
Working out
Self improvement

So here i am writing it in blog form, the prologue for the book of Lance, i hope if even if i can't help you that maybe i can entertain you.

Ill post once a week, enjoy.
